After nearly 30 years of experience in academic medicine (I am a physician Scientist), I have moved to a leadership role at Solano County Department of Health and Social Services, where I contribute to advancing patient care through my expertise in family medicine and reproductive health. My clinical practice includes reproductive and perinatal care reflecting my commitment to comprehensive medical generalism. Previously, I spent nearly twenty years at the University of Pennsylvania and then a decade as a Professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where I taught in the Departments of Family Medicine, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Global Health. My work has focused on improving the delivery of mental health and reproductive health services, particularly for vulnerable populations, through research and clinical practice.
