Goutham Rao, MD is the Jack H. Medalle Professor and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals of Cleveland. He is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Heart Association's Obesity Committee. Dr. Rao is a health services researcher with a focus upon improving diagnosis, evaluation, and management of cardiovascular risks in primary care settings, especially among children, adolescents, and young adults. His current AHRQ funded research study is entitled, "Improving diagnosis of hypertension in children." Dr. Rao is the author of more than 100 publications, including 3 books.
